One-day tour in Corfu

For a day trip or short and longer stays, stunning Corfu is as an ideal destination. However, if your time on the queen of the Ionian Sea is limited or you just have one day to savor the Corfiot spirit, there are still things you can do to get the most out of your trip!

Of course, your first stop would be the Old Town boasting lovely buildings of Venetian architecture and quaint cobbled streets lined with all kinds of shops. Visit the church of Agios Spyridon, patron saint of the island, including many excellent relics and magnificent icons, as well as the remains of St. Spyridon kept in a silver reliquary. Explore the old fortress right in the heart of the city and admire the magnificent view with a coffee to pick you up at the café located on top of the fortress!

For a trip around Corfu, visit the palace of Achilleion located 10km away from Corfu Town. The mansion served as the holiday resort of the renowned Austrian empress Sissy, who chose Corfu as she was charmed by its unique beauty!

What’s more, if the crystal clear waters surrounding the island look tempting to you, then why not take a refreshing dip! Take the boat from Corfu’s port and get to the islet of Vido just 5 minutes away. Here, visitors can swim in the deep blue sea, soak up the sun and enjoy the unspoiled nature. For a hearty or lighter meal, you will find a restaurant and snack-bar on the islet.

The truth is that Corfu is a place rich in things to do and see, so you’d better let the active side of you come out and enjoy your getaway in Corfu as much as possible!
