Agistri is a small island of the Saronic Gulf with amazing crystal clear blue waters just an hour away from Athens. It is a small piece of heaven, covered by forests of pine trees that stretch across the island until they are ‘touching’ its deep blue waters.
Aponissos beach: A small bay just off the south-west of Agistri, it is actually a private island in a land that time forgot. Simply beautiful, it is well organized, with umbrellas, sunbeds and swimming in turquoise waters. Aponissos Beach is also a firm favourite spot for yacht owners to anchor their boats.
Dragonera beach: The picturesque beach of Dragonera, surrounded by mountains and pine trees is a hit with locals and tourists alike. On the road between Milos and Limenaria, it has a tavern and plenty of sunbeds. Filled with relaxing music all day, it is a pleasure to sunbathe or swim here.
Megalochori beach: A very nice beach with a mix of pebbles and sand, it is ideal for swimming. Located in Megalochori village, the capital of the island, it offers the best of both worlds with tavernas where thirsty swimmers can refuel and a marina for boats.
Skala beach: A large sandy beach with clear, shallow waters, it’s ideal for families with children. It is situated from the village of Skala along the way to Megalochori on the North Coast. The area is full of cafes, restaurant and hotels which offer sunbeds, umbrellas and bar service.
Skliri beach: Α rocky beach within pine woods with a wonderful view to the Saronic Gulf, and Aegina Island. Skliri is an organized beach, with newly-built hotels and restaurants and plenty of cafes and snack bars with food.
Chalikiada Beach: Although it’s a bit difficult to get there (it’s not accessible by car) it is well worth it. After a short walk through pine woods, you’ll find yourself in front of a beautiful, natural bay with big pebbles and clear waters. It is a relaxed, beautiful place, but be prepared; it is the only nudist beach in the Agistri & Aegina region!
Mareza beach: If you are looking for paradise, Mareza beach is really close to it! Rocky and surrounded by greenery, its inviting deep waters are perfect for diving. Visitors can jump into crystal clear waters from a small platform built in the natural rocks of the coastline.
